Rip-off a collar and bodice from only a photo of a shirt of ur choosing, I chose to recreate a Vogue shirt featuring a frilly invisible placket. I completed a collar and bodice rip-off based on the original design, paying close attention to the construction details and overall appearance of the garment.

 

    The most challenging part of this project was creating an invisible placket without any visible topstitching. I also struggled with determining the correct amount of gathering for the ruffle. It took some experimentation to find the right balance so that the ruffle had enough fullness to match the original design without becoming overly bulky.

 

    Through this project, I improved my understanding of shirt construction techniques and gained more confidence working with plackets, collars, and gathered details. The experience helped me develop greater accuracy and patience when replicating garment features from an existing design.
